    OGG Extract process getting abended frequently.

      Recently in our production A-P GG setup extract process is getting frequently abended with the below message.

       

      2013-08-20 22:00:20  ERROR   OGG-01028  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  Object with object number 66136 is compressed. Table compression is not supported.

      2013-08-20 22:00:22  INFO    OGG-00991  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  EXTRACT EBIZ1 stopped normally.

       

      2013-08-17 14:04:03  ERROR   OGG-01028  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  Object with object number 65743 is compressed. Table compression is not supported.

      2013-08-17 14:04:05  INFO    OGG-00991  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  EXTRACT EBIZ1 stopped normally.

       

      2013-08-12 22:00:21  INFO    OGG-00497  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  Writing DDL operation to extract trail file.

      2013-08-12 22:00:23  ERROR   OGG-01028  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  Object with object number 65032 is compressed. Table compression is not supported.

      2013-08-12 22:00:26  INFO    OGG-01487  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  DDL found, operation [create table "BIZTGMS".DBMS_TABCOMP_TEMP_CMP organization heap  tablespace "BIZ_DATA01" compress for all operations nologging as select  * from "BIZTGMS".DBMS_TABCOMP_TEMP_UNCMP mytab  (size 184)], start SCN [1127789393354], commit SCN [1127789394116] instance [palbiz1 (1)], DDL seqno [92009], marker seqno [92009].

      2013-08-10 14:04:39  ERROR   OGG-01028  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  Object with object number 64737 is compressed. Table compression is not supported.

      2013-08-10 14:04:40  INFO    OGG-00991  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  EXTRACT EBIZ1 stopped normally.

       

      2013-08-09 22:00:28  ERROR   OGG-01028  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  Object with object number 64576 is compressed. Table compression is not supported.

      2013-08-09 22:00:32  INFO    OGG-00991  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  EXTRACT EBIZ1 stopped normally.

       

      Above are the few occurences. Only one time i saw the error log file that it is trying to create a table. Rest other occurrences are printing as mentioned.

          The triggering issue looks to be the following:

           

          2013-08-20 22:00:20  ERROR   OGG-01028  Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle, ebiz1.prm:  Object with object number 66136 is compressed. Table compression is not supported.

           

          What version of GoldenGate are you running? There are a couple of possible causes for this error:

           

          - You are running classic Extract and have compressed tables specified in the Extract. We only support compressed tables with Integrated Extract. Here is a note discussing this.

           

          Oracle GoldenGate: Compressed tables are not supported until OGG v11.2.x Integrated Extract. (Doc ID 1266389.1)

           

          - The table in question is being created and dropped dynamically. See this note:

           

          Extract abending with Table Compression Is Not Supported, although the database doesn't have any compressed tables. (Doc ID 1510691.1)

           

          Take a look at these notes, and if this does not resolve your issue, let us know if we can help further.
