There are two ways.
Copy the existing report template and name with specific name and add your style to the template at td level and refer the new report template.
Check the class with the td tag in the report from firebug. I hope it should be data and try this
Please update your forum profile with a real handle instead of "95665". And always specify your APEX version. What is it?
I have what I hope is a simple question.
I have a SQL Report region and I want to add more padding to the left and right sides of the table cell.
"The table cell"? A single, specific cell within the report? All cells in a specific column or row? All cells in this report? Or do you mean padding around the entire report table?
I don't want to change the style sheet because I don't want to affect other pages.
I have updated my profile (multiple times) to include my real name but it still doesn't appear in the forums. At least I think I have. On one page it is refered to as my "handle" but there is not handle field on the profile page. This is a "public display name" field and this currently shows my real name,
Why don't you try rewriting your SQL Query in the report region to include padding??
Select column1, '<TABLE CELLPADDING=10> '||column2||'</TABLE>' from table;
- It wouldn't work.
<TABLE CELLPADDING=10>column2</TABLE>is invalid HTML.
cellpaddingattribute is obsolete and must not be used.
- Mixing data, structure, and presentation in this way violates the separation of concerns.
If you don't want to handle the padding with css, you can add 2 dummy columns to your query:
select null as dummy1,
null as dummy2
The extra column will give you a bit more padding on each side, see the effect here:
But I still think you should handle it with proper css
