OAF deployment error.
Hi to all,
I’m trying to deploy an OAF from into EBS, so I had make the following steps:
On the JAVA_TOP (/dapa1i/applmgr/common/java/classes) I crated the following paths as the same as my project:
I give the fallowing permissions to these files 775 and folders.
I executed the following command (#### characters are only for this post):
java oracle.jrad.tools.xml.importer.XMLImporter /dapa1i/applmgr/common/java/classes/alp/oracle/apps/xbol/cargueArchivos/cargue/webui/CargueArchivosPG.xml -rootdir $JAVA_TOP -userId 1 -username apps -password ##### -dbconnection "(description = (address_list = (address = (community = tcp.world)(protocol = tcp)(host = ############)(port = 11710)))(connect_data = (sid =DAPA1I)))"
I bounce the server.
I configure the menu access to the form.
But I getting an non specific error every time that I try to select the responsibility from the menu (The system tell me to contact the administrator to get more information). So can you help me what can I do to detect the cause of this error.
Thanks to all
Hi, this is the image of the error (not much information 2013-08-27_1124 - mayistra's library)
I had check and all the files are there (What I´m not sure is if they are in the correct format ascii and binary)
Yes, that is the same error. Not very helpful. I've seen that error and then I ran $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/adapcctl.sh stop; $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/adoacorectl.sh stop; $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/adoacorectl.sh start; $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/adapcctl.sh start and afterwards attempted to open the page again and found the error message included an "error" link. Then I could see the error stack. Again not always very helpful with Java but this time I could tell that I failed to deploy objects I had in the schema package. Once I did that all was well.
You could search through the logs to determine if/when a bounce of the middle tier services was performed but if you are going to develop using OAF I would say you are going to need to do that yourself. Java is terrible when it comes to needing to be bounced. It's not really OO like Smalltalk or Ruby. I highly recommend you obtain a method for restarting those services yourself. Otherwise you'll be wasting a lot of time.
