As per the regular process, when Sales users ‘Book’ Sales-Orders, then manually progress Order-line to create configuration item , system submits a request ‘AutoCreate Configuration Items’ and system updates order line status to Supply Eligible & creates configuration items.
Business requirement is - we need a custom program to be triggered immediately after AutoCreate Configuration Items request finishes.
Now since this is a standard request we thought to trigger our custom program as soon as the order line status becomes Supply Eligible.
Can anyone advise if there is any standard business event which fires when the line status changes and if there is no business event how can we achive the above requirement.
Theoretically speaking you can edit the workflow process and achieve your objective (Using Workflow Builder) by designing what triggers to be fired once the AutoCreate Configuration Item completes.
See if the following docs give you any hints:
I was not able to get any help from the links provided above.
Is there any way to check if there is any business event that gets triggerred when the Line Status Changes.
Since AutoCreate Configuration creates a new item, I tried to use the business event 'oracle.apps.inv.itemCreate', but this did not get triggered.
Also, it is not necessary that we use Business events, please suggest if there is any way to achieve the above requirement.
Can anyone please advise me on the above query. I am stuck and unable to move ahead.
What is your application release?
Since AutoCreate Configuration creates a new item, I tried to use the business event 'oracle.apps.inv.itemCreate', but this did not get triggered
Is this event active?
Have you tried to enable trace/debug to find out more details about why the business even is not triggered?
Can you find any errors in the application/database log files?
