I am new to payroll.Need your help for this
I have defined recurring elements
Social Security Deduction
Net salary componentetc
Social Security deduction=say some% of my basic
Netsalary=…payvalues- Social Security Deduction
The value of my Social Security deduction does not get picked during my payroll run for my Netsalary component.
Is there any way out??
Thanks for your reply,
No i am working on implementation project where the requirement is such that they feed the element data directly using BEE.So no formula for basic.
The only requirement is such that i need to caluclate Social Security Deduction based on the value and calculate the net.
Yes the element has been defined as mentioned above.I have defined the formula as well for Social Security Deduction(Direct result formula type).The value is also fetching fine i want this result in my net salary as in
Netsalary=…abc+xxx- Social Security Deduction( formula for net salary)
After I run the payroll the value the net salary does not consider the Social Security Deduction.
Please guide .
If you just need to add earning and deduct social security values, you don't need to create a formula. You can create a balance named Net Salary which will be +1 feed by earning element and -1 feed by social security deduction element. This will automatically return the desired result to you.
If you still need to use formula based on other requirements, what are abc+xxx ? They should be balance which are individual fed by earning element.? Please print the balance value in the formula before using them and then check if they are returning any value to you.
