I am binding it in PR of LOVCO.
It works correctly, when the LOVRN is rendered. because at that time, PR is called.
But when you tab out, since LOVRN is not rendered, I suspect PR of LOVCO is not being triggered at all.
How do we make sure, the PR of LOVCO is called even when you tab out??
I get null.
Thats because, these are not nested AMs.
OK, can we think it this way. How do we implement an external LOV which needs binding of a parameter.
I have already tried using lov criteria mappings and getting the dictionary object.
Having the same issue there, i.e getting error while tabbing out. but not when we click on the torch.
I just need to bind a variable to the user id of the person. That is all.
I am thinking of an alternate approach now. I know this should work. Let me know your thoughts
1) in the parent page, i am creating a new RN to hold the external LOV. This is have its own CO and AM.
2) In this new RNCO, in PR, i am planning to bind the variable.
This i am sure will solve it. But Doesnt Oracle have a better way to bind parameters for an external LOV?
