Hi am moses i installed oracle linux on ibm blade server and installed the ethernet, iscsi and fcoe drivers and it worked fine. but after there was an electrical  blackout my oracle Linux server lost all

the eth* interfaces. Please assist on what to do because it contains installed application and we don't need to format it.

The device tree as of kernel version 2.6 is rebuilding on every system restart. If your devices are not longer available you may have a hardware defect or lost your Blade system configuration. You need to check your product documentation. If you are no longer able to access remote devices via iSCSI, etc., your network equipment may have lost the configuration due to a power failure, which is a common problem if your network administrator forgot to save the configuration. You can check /var/log/messages to see if there are any clues.

            Hi,

Can you print out the file /var/log/message and the output of the commande dmesg?

            Best Regards

                    Catch_22

When the system powers on and prompts you to press any key at the Grub boot menu, make sure you are booting into the right kernel. Oracle Linux ships with the original RHCK and UEK kernel. By default the system boots the UEK kernel. If you have installed hardware drivers for the Red Hat kernel, you need to boot into the Red Hat kernel and should probably change the default, or perhaps find out how to make it work in the UEK kernel.

                        Hi,

                        • From the command dmesg:
                          • Firstly:

You have a problem on the Power Driver:

Try to Upgrade the driver lpfc.

                          • Secondly:

You have a problem with you NIC Driver (All your NICs)
