I remember attending a ADF session from Oracle around 2003, where they were promot
ing ADF like anything. There I had asked a similar question about the Future of Forms. He replied by 2007 Forms will no longer be supported . Lo here we are in 2013 and still there are new releases of Forms and its still going strong, and its contemporaries like VB long been dead.
Its a fact ADF is very complicated and not easy for a Forms developer to switch to it.
RAD yes its still Forms, but not getting Forms developers might be a reason for some customers to look for other technologies.
So, in the end the few Forms programmers remaining may be in for a treat!
