Please help a newbie.. We run systems integrated by AIA. BPEL was done by other party which has gone. We changed the xml file as needed but the change doesn't take effect until deployment is done. We installed jdeveloper but we can't see any BPEL elements in remote servers. Please advise kindly what to install and where to connect to for deploying the change. Everything is running under 10g including Jdeveloper.
Thank you so, so much..

which xml file you changed, BPEL Composite? What do you mean that you can not see BPEL element on Remote server. To make any changes you have to install JDeveloper, then you have to install SOA Extentions, by going to help->about update or manually downloading according to JDeveloper version. Once installed load your BPEL Process in it , then you can see the BPEL Elements. For deployments make sar file, and then go to your EM, find the previously deployed composite, right click and choose redeploy. All is done
The "Check for Updates" link in the Help section of Jdeveloper 10g is dead, so I found "JDeveloper's extension for SOA technologies: SOA Composite Assembly, BPEL PM, Mediator, Human Task, Business Rules, Adapters" in the "http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/@otn/documents/webcontent/156082.xml#oracle.sca.modeler".
But, unfortunately, there is no version for 10g which I have. How to overcome that problem? Should I install Jdeveloper 11g and use it with 10g DB and Application environment?
Can you please kindly advise on that?
Dear Nasir, thannk you for your great help! We installed Jdeveloper11g, he says that "IntegratedWebLogicServer" is running, but its "Help/Check-for-Updates" via HTTP proxy fails with
"... Performing action Check for Updates...[ from oracle.jdevimpl.help.HelpTopicEditor ]
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cipher not initialized..." (etc.)
I am not sure whether something is needed to install more, but I can not see the remote BPEL elements (may be only I don't know how to see them).
Could you please guide me what to do?
Manually download the extension according to your JDeveloper version, then you can install them manually, Please do not unzip those file just download and give the zip file path
Have a look at this
I am so sorry of having to ask you for another advice. I visited the download page of
and found many options to download. Which one do I need please????
Download according to your JDeveloper Version. Just go to help->check for updates then in search bar enter SOA and then press enter, here you will see the detail of your SOA Extension which you can download from above link under
Good morning! So I have downloaded the "Oracle SOA Composite Editor" (200 MB) and installed it in Jdeveloper_11g as you advised. Thank you!
Please, what to do now, to be possible to see the AIA integrating BPEL and deploy the correction done in an (incorrect) xml file for one web service?
Now you have to do little bit of Search about how to customize your Deployed BPEL Web service. have a look at this
We changed the ServiceRequestEBM_To_UPDATE_SERVICES.xsl which describes parameters (there was a bug) for the web service processing. But the change doesn't take effect until it is "deployed". Unfortunately, I am not sure what to use in Jdeveloper and how to "deploy" the correction.
Yes, we have AIA BPEL solution running which integrates different applications. It has been running for years (done by 3rd party which has gone). But one function is incorrect, we know why and changed the parameter file in the server by "vi" editor and wee need to deploy the change. The problem is, that I can not see the BPEL solution in the remote server.. In other words, we don't know how to connect to the server be possible for us to see the BPEL elements and "deploy" the change (done by "ssh" and "vi") to take effect.
Just I noted that in the "Extension" there are messages that there are "hot found" errors like
Classpath entry C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\jdev\extensions\oracle.jdeveloper.junit\junit4.5\junit-4.5.jar not found.
Warning: Classpath entry C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\integration\lib\wsrp-container.jar not found.
Warning: Classpath entry C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\integration\lib\adflibWorklistComponents.jar not found.
I guess that it is not connected to some server(?).
