    I don't see any specific problem.

    You didn't post your four digit Oracle version

    You didn't post your OS

    And most importantly: you didn't post the error stack.

    Your webcam was off, and we are not sitting at your desk.

    No help is possible.

    This is exactly asking like , I tried to start my car in the morning but it didn't start, what can be the reason?  And the answer is, how do we know ? As others have requested, you would need to tell us at least the exact error message before we can suggest a solution to you.

    That said, just asking that your db is in the archivelog mode, right?

    You also might show us what steps you did to try to recover.  Did you restore?

    Possibly your BACKUP and RESTORE didn't include the ArchiveLogs that are required.

    I don't what that means.  What was the exact command you tried (e.g. to restore archivelogs ?) .  What was the error message returned ?

    I tried like

    restore datafile 6;

    then it restore successfully then i tried

    recover datafile 6;

    while doing that i got an error but i dont remember exact error message, and  I tried to recover system tablespace.

    In your initial post you said "I try to recover database i got a error that my systems tablespace cant recover."  which meant that you were trying to RECOVER the whole database.  Presumably, you did a RESTORE DATABASE (not just DATAFILE 6 and the SYSTEM tablespace datafile).

    It is likely that the archivelogs require for the RECOVERy were not available (or not available fully) --- either in backups or on disk.

    Hi Praveen,

    It looks like you don't have archive logs or the RMAN is unable to find the valid backup of archive logs. What you can do is you can perform an incomplete recovery.

    Try commands,

    RMAN> Restore datafile 6;

    RMAN> Recover datafile 6 noredo;

    then open the database with resetlog option.

    Hope it will help you

    NOTE: There will be loss of data.

    Thanks,

    Prahsant

    There is very little that can be done to help until you start providing actual commands and actual error messages.  Trying to troubleshoot based on your description of your perceptions of what you think you did is just an exercise in futility.

    BTW, it would be really helpful if you would go to your profile and give yourself a recognizable name.  It doesn't have to be your real name, just something that looks like a real name.  Who says my name is really Ed Stevens?  But at least when people see that on a message they have a recognizable identity.  Unlike the system generated name of 'ed0f625b-6857-4956-9b66-da280b7cf3a2', which is like going to the pub with a bag over your head.
