I have installed FDM on my 184.108.40.206 Dev environment. Then few days later installed FDMEE in the same server. I believe I may have done a big mistake here. My goal now is too remove FDM and finalize FDMEE configuration. Currently, when trying to deploy FDMEE application I get the Deploy to Application server failed message. I have been looking on log files to identify the root cause, but I am not sure which log file is the correct one to view when we are deploying an application via the config tool. I am on a distributed windows 2008 r2 app server environment. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
Hi I have been able to remove the FDM component from my server. To be safe I re-installed FDMEE on the same server. once re-installed I am running into the same issue during configuration. After research I found out what the issue is. Since I am in a distributed environment my FDMEE is not on the same server as my weblogic. I started my weblogic admin console and launched the configtool on my fdmee server. The error message being displayed is " '[Deployer:149003]Unable to access application source information in Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\FinancialDataQuality\AppServer\InstalleableApps\aif.ear' for application 'AIF'.
The aif.ear file is available on the correct path. Any thoughts?
You will need to install the java web applications on the foundation server (WebLogic admin server) as well as the server you want to deploy the web application on.
John. Thanks for you reply. But the weblogic Application Server and Static Contect Files were already installed in the fdmee server as part of the Foundations components. This morning I checked my Weblogic console on the foundation server. The ErpIntegrator server and ODI_Server were created under the server folder. They have the status of SHUTDOWN. Should I remove them from there and try to reconfigure again?
The error you stated:
Unable to access application source information in Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\FinancialDataQuality\AppServer\InstalleableApps\aif.ear'
means that it can't access those files on the Weblogic admin server machine, are you sure the fdmee web application was installed on both machines.
John. Thanks for your comment. Indeed I did not have fdmee product installed on my web/foundation machine. Once I removed from server 02 and installed on web/foundation machine the configuration of fdmee worked fine. Said that, what is confusing me is that I was following the oracle 220.127.116.11 documentation epm_standard_deployment.pdf (for distributed environments). On this document, fdmee is installed on a separate server not foundation and it is configured pointing back to the weblogic admin on foundation server by starting weblogic admin console before configuring fdmee machine. That did not work for me. I wonder why? I had installed most of foundation components on my server 02 except Foundation Services Java Web Applications and Oracle HTTP server.
It is possible to deploy it on a separate server, first you install FDMEE on the foundation server (don't configure), install FDMEE on the server you want to deploy and then configure.
