I am learning ORACLE and wanted to create a new **database** to go through DBCA (to me DBCA is a wizard... ouch..)
I heard ORACLE is more customizable you can configure amount or RAM for shared pool, db block cache, log buffer etc.
In SQL server only buffer pool MAX Server Memory (which === SGA in ORACLE) is customizable... it won't let you manage amount of memory allocated to exeuction plan cache (shared pool) or db page cache or log buffer cache etc.
One question, MS published a good tutorial vidoes on SQL server for ORACLE DBAS here
does oracle also have some free training videos for newbies?
