Copying table data from DB2 to Oracle fails with the following error message: Table xxxx Failed. Message: Attempt to fully materialize lob data that is too large for the JVM. Disable data source property "fullyMaterializeLobData" for locator-based lob implementation.
Specs on the computer are the following:
java version "1.7.0_07"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_07-b11)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.3-b01, mixed mode)
Windows 7 Professional
System type: 64-bit Operating System
Installed memory (RAM): 2.00GB
The largest blob found is 1 GB. Do we need to increase the heap size? Any comments would be appreciated - thanks.
Streaming a lob to file that big w/only 2GB of system memory might be tough...either way, are you using the offline data move method? I think that's your only chance for success here. And see if you can find a beefier machine to do the migration...you don't want to be sitting there for days waiting for it to finish.
