You will have to define the location of the Java Program in your machine. If you dont have java installed, ensure you download and install JAVA, and hopefully this should resolve your issue.
After Installing JAVA, ensure to restart SQL developer.
I think I have the Java Program in my machine. The problem I had is when I click the shortcut (I'm using window XP). If I click one of the .sql program which I have, it will start the SQL developer.
Thank you very much
Location you have to give
Jdk version may differ if you installed 1.5 or 1.6.
Thank you for your help. I don't have the C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_11\bin\java.exe in my machine.
I checked and found that the SQL Developer I have use Java 1.6.0_11 which is same as you have mentioned. I have the path
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" in my machine. When I enter this path, there is a message say Cannot find J2SE SDK installed at path.
Does this mean that I need to install java 1.6.0_11 ?
Yes you have to install java jdk1.6.0_11
JDK 1.5 version above...
