1) Edit the page item.
2) Scroll down to source.
3) In "Source Used" select weather to all ways used the value we are about to give it or only when the cached value is null.
4) In "Source Type" select SQL Query (return single value)
5) Put "SELECT anr FROM article LIMIT 1;" into "Source value or expression" text box. (I forget if you need the semicolon of not)
Don't forget to mark correct if this solves it.
I use the APEX 4.2 and an Oracle DB 11g.
I made an APEX-Page where I have a text field that should show the value of an SELECT-Statment. The text fields name is TEXTFIELD_3.
SELECT anr INTO :TEXTFIELD_3 FROM article LIMIT 1;
When I execute the statement directly on the DB I get a value, but while executing it in my APEX-Application I'll get the ORA-01403 Error.
Do you have a suggestion why I get that Error?
Oracle SQL does not support the LIMIT clause. Use ROWNUM instead: see this Ask Tom article for more information and examples.
