I want to install Oralce RAC 11gr2 database on Windows Server 2008...
Servers are in domain...
With witch user to start instalation for clusterware and database, my domain user (not domain administrator, I do not have an domain administrator pass) or with local administrator user?
When I start installation with the local machine administrator I get this:
Check: If user "Administrator" is a domain user
- Check: If user "Administrator" is a domain user
Verification WARNING result on node: DB1
PRVF-9998 : User "Administrator" could not be verified as a domain user, domain "DB1" is either an invalid domain or can not be contacted
- Cause: Current user could not be verified as domain user. The identified domain name was either an invalid domain name or the domain could not be contacted.
- Action: Ensure the Windows Domain Server is reachable; log in to the OS as a domain user.
Because I don't have password for domain Administrator user I try to log on on with my domain user (name.surname), put this user in Administrators and ora_dba users groups and then I not getting Warning, but then Oracle Base directory is with my user name d:\app\name.surname not d:\app\Administrator... I do not know if it's OK?
Whether to continue with the installation with local administrator user and ignore warning or to install with my domain user???
