i have no clue how to import data of tables having columns containing more than 255 characters.
After the Data Deployment the Loader .ctl File says: Field in data file exceeds maximum length...
Google says: You need to adjust the *.ctl File for columns which were larger than 255 characters since that is the default.
The only way i found so far is to adjust it in the generated *.ctl File and to upload the manipulated File manually with sftp. Yet, now i get "VERIFICATION FAILED" when i try to re-execute the Deployment.
Note: The Source- and the Target Column are defined with varchar2(4000 CHAR).
Help is appreciated, Alex
Hi Alex -
I'm not sure what you mean about the .ctl Loader file - we don't use that explicitly in loading data with SQL Developer. Is that in your response file after you try the load?
I do know that the VERIFICATION FAILED error occurs when the user in the Cloud is trying to log in, so it doesn't have to do with the load itself, just the credentials. If you are using SQL Developer, you might want to check to see if you have used the proper user name and password for the Cloud.
Hope this helps.

there is a Bug 17456929 opened for that issue.
Well, sqldeveloper is not loading any data in the cloud-db its just transferring the data to the "cloud staging area" which is an sftp location.
On the cloud side a process is running which uses sqlldr to import the data into the cloud-db.
You can see the *.ctl File when you extract the generated zip File...
