"lsnrctl start" command will start a default listener named LISTENER, which is not used in an EBS environment. Are all of the steps in the upgrade completed successfully ? Pl identify which document you are following for the upgrade process and what step int he process you are at. Has autoconfig been run, with no errors in the autoconfig log file ? Are you using the listener startup script for EBS ?
Dear Srini ,
i am following doccument given in below link :
i am at step 4.8
database has been upgraded successfully.
impact of this problem is that i cant create context file and unable to run adconfig successfully on dbTier
I would suggest you follow the official upgrade doc 1058763.1.
Have you copied over the listener.ora and tnsnames.ora files from the old database HOME to the new database HOME and made appropriate changes ? Pl post the contents of the listener.ora file.
