    EA2 Popup Describe

    johnpfisk

Seems like the popup describe has stopped working on EA2, for stored procedures/packages. Also not working for control-clicking the object name, but it does come up with a message "Please amend your code to something like this ..."

Popup describe still works for tables, but not for control-click.

Is this the right place for reporting bugs?

It is. Someone reported the same behavior yesterday and the developer has said it has been fixed.

Although I was getting it to work for packages but not procedures, and ctrl_click navigation on tables is working for me.

Can you replicate the behavior in a worksheet with objects like SCOTT.EMP and similar syntax just so we can properly log what you're doing and confirm it's the same issue we think we've already addressed?

I'm having the same difficulty. Seems to be ok with tables but not packages. I'm using EA2 on a Mac. Error log shows:

Error during handleEvent on action 'Popup Describe' (id=157).

None of the attached controllers handled the action.

              Hey Jeff,

Here are a few tests, hope they make sense...

              Control-Click SYS.XMLVALIDATE = Alert: Ambiguous Context

              BEGIN SYS.XMLVALIDATE; END;

              Highlight SYS.XMLVALIDATE - Shift-F4 = Nothing

              Cursor in XMLVALIDATE - Shift-F4 = Nothing

              Cursor in SYS - Shift-F4 = Nothing

              Control-Click SYS.XMLVALIDATE  = Nothing

              The error is mostly:

oracle.ide.controller.IdeAction Error during handleEvent on action 'Popup Describe' (id=157).

None of the attached controllers handled the action.
