Baseline update failed during implementing Join b/w 2 record sources

      Hi All

I was implementing join using two CSV files having EmployeeID as common attribute. In pipeline, i have created 2 record caches receiving input from respective CSV files. These two record caches give output to record assembler where i have implemented left join.

After updating the pipeline, i ran baseline update but it failed having following information in the log file:-

XMLParser: Reading dval refs from file "C:\Endeca\apps\EmployeeApp2\data\forge_output\EmployeeApp2.dval_refs.xml"

XMLParser: Done reading dval refs from file "C:\Endeca\apps\EmployeeApp2\data\forge_output\EmployeeApp2.dval_refs.xml"

XMLParser: Reading dval ranks from file "C:\Endeca\apps\EmployeeApp2\data\forge_output\EmployeeApp2.dval_ranks.xml"

XMLParser: Done reading dval ranks from file "C:\Endeca\apps\EmployeeApp2\data\forge_output\EmployeeApp2.dval_ranks.xml"

WARN 09/19/13 04:48:19.744 UTC (1379566099738) DGIDX {dgidx, baseline} Errors while parsing dval ranks from file "C:\Endeca\apps\EmployeeApp2\data\forge_output\EmployeeApp2.dval_ranks.xml": Invalid value specified for attribute RANK in element DVAL_RANK contained in element DVAL_RANKS (dval id = 5).  Value must be an unsigned integer.  Ignoring element. Invalid value specified for attribute RANK in element DVAL_RANK contained in element DVAL_RANKS (dval id = 14).  Value must be an unsigned integer.  Ignoring element.

XMLParser: Reading refinement config from file "C:\Endeca\apps\EmployeeApp2\data\forge_output\EmployeeApp2.refinement_config.xml"

XMLParser: Done reading refinement config from file "C:\Endeca\apps\EmployeeApp2\data\forge_output\EmployeeApp2.refinement_config.xml"

Kindly provide me with a possible solution. EmployeeApp2.dval_ranks.xml is created at runtime.

      Thanks

I don't think you've posted the correct log file as that includes only warnings and appears to be a DGIDX log.  Any problems with a join would present themselves during Forge.

In order to effectively troubleshoot, we'd need to know where the issue is (C:\Endeca\apps\EmployeeApp2\logs\EmployeeApp2.0.0.log would be a good place to start), which would then lead to finding the actual error message (likely located in C:\Endeca\apps\EmployeeApp2\logs\forges\Forge\Forge.log for a forge issue), wherever it may be.

          Hope that helps,
