I am trying to create a Business Service with email Transport configuration. While creation, I have selected ServiceType as MessagingService. Then in Message Type Configuration page have selected Request Message Type as Text and Response Message Type as None. Now in Transport Configuration page email option is not showing in protocol. It's only showing http , jms option there.
While I tried the same in some other OSB installation environment I am able to find email option in Protocol.
Any idea what could be potential reason of it.How can I able to see email option in Protocol ?
I am trying to send email from BS.For that I have configured SMTP configuration as well.
I am completely agree with you that as long as the response message type is None and Transport is set to Messaging, Email protocol should appear in the drop down. But for my
case its not hapenning. Even on other approach I am not able to add email facility while trying alert activity in Message Flow Diagram.
I am suspecting from somewhere email option has been turned off. Can there be any configuration change in OSB console or Weblogic console to make this on ?
I think you need to configure the SMTP server under administration in /sbconsole before that option becomes available.
Please check the state of Email Transport Provider in the admin console it should be in the active state , and also Go to JMS Module --> jms resources and check dist_wlsb.internal.transport.task.queue.email_auto.
its heath and assosiated member will be working fine.
Observed that 'Email Transport Provider' is deployed in only osb_serverX (not in AdminServer). In some other OSB server where email option is working,it's been deployed in AdminServer.
To resolve this issue do I need to deploy in AdminServer as well. If yes then how to deploy it.
