What does "execute count" under  statitstics tab in PLSQL developer indicate?

I am running the below update statement and want to understand what the value for "execute count" mean. Thanks.

update tableA

set col1 =  pkg_a( col2)

where col3 not between '01-jul-2013' and '31-jul-2013'

You need to post your question in a PLSQL Developer forum.

This forum deals with the SQL and PL/SQL server languages - not specific client tools.

And from a SQL language perspective - horrible code. As it uses  implicit string to date conversions. It does not use bind variables. It uses expensive context switching to run user defined PL/SQL functions to apply column value conversions - which often can be done using SQL functions instead.
