    Problem with Java7 64bit

    _DarkMan_

Since jdk1.7.0_25 64Bit is installed i have a very strange problem. First of all the JSPWriter#print method does not write any string content to the jsp pages of my web application (running on Apache 2.2, Tomcat7, MSSQL database). This occurs after the second or third click on a link in the app. Numbers (int) are still printed by the writer. Second problem is the toString method of an enum returns null which definitly should not happen. So it seems like i have a serious problem with strings and Java. This is reproducible on other machines as well. I can supress the errors by adding debugging parameters to Java or Tomcat.

      Any suggestion?

Did you check the Tomcat server logs and can you post those errors

I know xmlValidation and xmlNamespaceAware are left over from Tomcat6 and not used anymore in Tomcat7, but this seems the only 'problem' to me and should not matter.

No errors at all in any log file.

Can see the logs at the time you don't get the desired output?

It is the time i don't get the output. Thats all I can see in the log or do u mean any other logfile? But there are no errors at all in any logfile.

I tried to set the debug level to FINE in logging.properties but the error does not occur anymore when the level is set to FINE. Set back to INFO and there is the error.

Another error occurs now with the same configuration running a java application to create system reports in the background. We have a java enum to describe databsecolumns as names and the toString method returns null for it which in my opion definitly should not be possible!??!

Solved. It was a bug in Java which seems to be solved with Java7 Update45
