    951367

Can someone please explain in detail regarding below query?

      Application Profile:

        Edit Frequency

            Frequency 1: YTD

            Frequency 2:  HYTD

            Frequency 3: QTD

            Frequency 4: MTD

            Frequency 5:

What is Frequency? What is the use here? How will be impact in Application?

      Scenario DIM:

        Member Attributes:

           DefFreq: MTD

What will be the impact on the application?

      Scenario DIM:

        Member Attributes:

           DefFreq: QTD

What will be the impact on the application?

      Scenario DIM:

        Member Attributes:

           DefFreq: HYTD

What will be the impact on the application?

You can refer to the HFM Administration guide and if you are a beginner and would like to more on HFM then you can buy the book written by Peter Fugere and CBarbieri "Oracle Hyperion Financial Management Tips & Tricks".

            Application Profile:

              Edit Frequency

                  Frequency 1: YTD

                  Frequency 2:  HYTD

                  Frequency 3: QTD

                  Frequency 4: MTD

                  Frequency 5:

            1. Is there any specific reason that we should follow this order like Freq 1: YTD..etc, shown in above?

If we consider Frequency 1: MTD then what will be the impact?

                ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

            Scenario DIM:

              Member Attributes:

DefaultFreq: MTD --->Is this means that We can load only Monthly data?

DefaultFreq: QTD --->Is this means that We can load only Quarterly data?

DefaultFreq: HYTD --->Is this means that We can load only Half Yearly data?

DefaultFreq: YTD --->Is this means that We can load only Yearly data?

DefaultView: MTD --->Is this means that We can view Monthly data in Grid/Forms/smartview?

DefaultView: QTD --->Is this means that We can view Quarterly data in Grid/Forms/smartview?

DefaultView: HYTD --->Is this means that We can view Half Yearly data in Grid/Forms/smartview?

DefaultView: YTD --->Is this means that We can view Yearly data in Grid/Forms/smartview?

Could someone provide your valuable inputs on above, Instead of suggesting Admin guide..etc. please :-)

            Thanks!!!!!!

            Regards,

            VSR

              Hi VSR,

              You are correct.

              1. You first define the frequencies the application profile.

              2. Based on these frequencies, you define the DefaultFreq and the DefaultView

              Based on the manual

              1. DefaultFreq

Specifies the types of periods for which data input is valid for the scenario. This

              attribute is required.

For example, a value of Monthly indicates that you can extract input data only in

month-based periods, not in quarter-based or year-based periods. The frequency

must be defined in the application profile.

              2. DefaultView

Specifies the view to use when Scenario View is selected in the point-of-view bar.

This attribute is required. Specify YTD or Periodic.

If you change the default view for a scenario and line-item detail has been entered,

you should first extract the line-item detail and save it. Then delete the line-item

detail from the scenario before changing the view. You must change the extracted

line-item detail to match the new default view before loading it.

              Regards,
