Java ME 8 Early Access was released today for Raspberry Pi and STM32F4DISCOVERY. Read all about it here:

          Hi.

I don't know whether this is the right place to submit issues, but I can't add JavaME8 SDK as a netbeans 8 Java Platform. Plugin installation worked without any problem, but I can't create a new JavaME8-based project since no platform is detected neither can be added through dedicated button (whose clicking doen't make anything).

          Any hint?

Concerning Discovery4 porting, could you confirm that debugging via netbeans (or eclipse) isn't actually possible at this time? Is native debugging (via Keil/MSK + .afx) possible? What kind of performance could I expect from STM32F4 javaME porting, compared both to native and to similar .NET Micro Frameowrk technology?

          Thanks!

            Hi,

Yes, please ask questions and submit issues here in this forum. We monitor these on a regular basis.

Regarding Java ME SDK 8 EA NetBeans plugin: This appears to be a late-breaking issue affecting some developers. Please see this thread:

Java ME SDK 8.0 EA Netbeans plugin installation problem

Regarding Discovery: Debugging on Discovery is currently not possible due to the severe memory limitations of the platform. This is listed in the Release Notes. You can certainly try native debugging using ARM/Keil MDK, but debugging the actual Java application that way is very challenging because the MDK has no concept of Java (you will be stepping through native code).

Following instructions on provided forums thread I managed to solve that issue, thanks!
