      Hello,

       

      I also have a similar issue.

      the listener service is up but there is a line which indicates

      Instance XE is blocked.

       

      Please help

          Hi ,

          If the instance XE is blocked you wont be able to establish connection to the database. Kindly post your listener.ora and tnsnames.ora entry

                Hi,

                Just Check whether you set the right

                ORACLE_HOME (' / " should ne there at the end of oracle path eg: /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2/db_1 and ORACLE_SID and try to connect with:

                sqlplus / as sysdba

                Also try restarting the listener and let us know the status.
