Yes, Oracle expects the redo log that was CURRENT at the time the DUPLICATE was issued to have been ARCHIVED.
I avoid this by specifying a SET UNTIL SCN || SEQUENCE || TIME to a point before the DUPLICATE was issued and ensuring that the ArchiveLog for that point in time is already available at the standby.

So this means the error coming in front of me is due to that.
Please also guide me wheather the below post is complete step by step explanation or i need to do some other modification in the same
Ok i try to follow the above mentioned blog of ORACLE-BASE. After doing all the stuff when i try to connect using RMAN i am able to connect to target database that is DB11G from primary as well as standby machines but when i am trying to connect to auxiliary database from any machine getting below mentioned error:
rman-04006 error from auxiliary database:ora-12538:TNS:listener: all appropriate instance are blocking new connections.
Can anyone of you please clarify why this is happening
Thanks in advance
I think there is some problem in listener and tnsnames .ora file on both pri as well as standby
can anyone please let me know what exactly the problem as i already posted both for both machine previously.
But there is also at other point problem is
when i try to connect the standby database in nomount mode through RMAN it will through me an error of
RMAN-04005: error from target database:
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
This means there is a problem with REMOTE_SHARED_PASSWORD parameter
i set it to none and again start the db in nomount mode and try to connect but getting the same problem
I copied the password file which is generated on the primary side
Kindly help me over the same as i am not able to sort out my problem till now.
