Problem exists between keyboard and chair.
You refuse to read documentation and you refuse to ask questions with specific error messages.
I recommend you hire someone who will read the documentation on your behalf, and who can ask a proper question.
Export BTW is NOT a backup!!!!
Senior Oracle DBA
i am using Oracle 10G Enterprise Edition (10.2.0.1.0) on Red Hat Linux 32bits OS. I made backup file (.dmp) through exp command (not expdp) on the said Linux platform. When I tried to restore that dump file (.dmp) to Oracle 10G Xpress Edition on Windows 7 platform, this won't work. Is there any solution...??? Is there any character encoding problem???
I don't find "won't work" in any error message manual.
Oracle emits actual error messages with code number for a reason.
If you had shown us said error message, perhaps we could provide some help.
Did you try import?
Or in simple words, what did you do?
it has been worked but not all tables imported due to some resource problem... thnkx for all reply
