    FDM Runtime Error Log Entry

    LuddiAndrea

      Hi all,

I'm trying to excute a Standard Batch Loader Script, but I have always the same error.

I have realized an FDM Appication, the bacth loader script and the data file (with this name 1@JDE@Actual_Inp@August@RR ).

Adapter, Import formats, Maps and Location seems ok.

      THIS IS THE ERROR LOG:

** Begin FDM Runtime Error Log Entry [2013-09-24 12:59:06] **
      -------------------------------------------------------------
      ERROR:
      Code............................................. 6
      Description...................................... Overflow
      Procedure........................................ clsBatchLoader.mExecuteParallelBatchProcess
      Component........................................ upsWBatchLoaderDM
      Version.......................................... 1112
      Thread........................................... 4100

      Could someone help me?

      Thanks in advance

      Andrea

          Hi Andrea,,

Are there any more entries in the log? Additionally, can you load the file via the manual process?

          Regards,

          Thanos

            Hi Thanos,

            thank you for your reply:

Yes, there was some other entries log in the error log file, but I've solved them, now when I try to run the Script through "Bacth Processing" I obtain always the same "Error 6", as above,

and yes, I can upload the file through the manual work flow (manual process), I've already checked it...

During the "run" the file to load is moved from "OpenBatch" folder to a new one created by the Script...but no data is loaded on HFM target application...

            Please help me

            Many thanks

            Andrea

              Ah one step closer...

Can you check if you can see data in the Import/Validation/Export steps of the relevant POVs in FDM?

              Regards,

If I use manaul process I can see the data in Import/Validation/Export steps, if I use Batch processing no data are dispalyed....

This is the script that I'm using, maybe something is wrong?

                the bacth processing settings are:

                Batch Type: standard

                Process Level: Up To Load

                Process Methid: Serial

                File Name Delimiter: @

Load Balance Server: the server name avilable on the server Group

                Sub TestLoad()
                '------------------------------------------------------------------

                  Hi again,

I am not able to review your code but can I ask you if you can load a file with one row only? As far as I know, the error 6 is related with the result of an assignment, calculation, or data type conversion is too large.

                  Regards,

                  Thanos

                    Hi Thanos,

yes I've manually uploaded a data file with 2 row only...do you think I have to try with just only one?

Where I can check the things you are mentioning?

I'm not so sure also that the parameter "lngProcessLevel = 12  'Up-To-Check" have a correct value (12)...I'm looking everywhere but I cannot find anything about his correct setting.

                    Thanks

the batch loader (Task Manager) runs as a windows service, whilst the workbench submission should create a windows task .

                      1. Have you checked that when the batch process starts, that a task is showing in the Windows task manager?

                      2. Try stiopping and restarting the FDM windows service.

                      3. Look in the FDM configuration guide and confirm that the set up is correct (think the chapter is something like 'Configuring Task Manager'  and that the windiows account is defined as 'logon as a service'.

                        Hi,

                        Thanks for the reply.

I've checked the services running before, during and after the execute the batch processing, there is only one service "HyS9FDMTaskManagerSrv", maybe something is wrong...?

I'm thinking to delete and recreate the application.
I don't know what else do...

                          Hi Andrea,

Based on what you said the batchloader seems to work... if it was not working you would not receive the error. The issue is on the script that you are using.. unfortunately, I have an issue on my system and I did not have enough time to check my notes about the scripting of BATCHENG.fFileCollectionCreate

                          Sorry for this,

                          Thanos

If the file is being moved from the Openbatch folder to the new one created by FDM but going no further it would generally indicate an issue with the file name.

Have you tried running the batch process directly from within Workbench to see if you get the same issue as that does not execute the custom script?
