    Kernel crashes with a wrong dtrace probe

      I am currently testing Dtrace/Linux and found that kernel is crashing on some wrong probes. E.g.

      dtrace -n 'read:entry{printf ("%s",copyinstr(arg0))}'

       

      crashing kernel completely instead of just printing some warning. Panic screen is available at TinyPic Free Image Hosting Is it known bug?

      If not - i can send you all the details.

       

      Some details about my testing system:

       

      [root@oracle ~]# uname -a

      Linux oracle.localdomain 3.8.13-13.el6uek.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Aug 21 14:28:36 PDT 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

       

      [root@oracle ~]# rpm -qa|grep dtrace

      dtrace-modules-3.8.13-13.el6uek-headers-0.4.0-1.el6.x86_64

      libdtrace-ctf-0.4.0-1.x86_64

      dtrace-modules-3.8.13-13.el6uek-0.4.0-1.el6.x86_64

      dtrace-utils-0.4.0-4.el6.x86_64
