We just moved from 184.108.40.206 to 220.127.116.11. We have various cubes and the cube loads are all automated daily. Now in the latest version after the dimension builds and data loading the BSO databases are occupying 5-6 times more space than what we saw in 18.104.22.168 version. Once I restructure the database the database size in 22.214.171.124 gets reduced to database size of 126.96.36.199.
My question is why do I have to restructure them manually, we use the same maxl scripts on both the versions and yet one occupies 1gb and the other database occupies 10gb. And since the data loads are a daily process it is getting difficult to restructure them everyday. I know we can use Maxl to restructure but we never had to do that in 188.8.131.52. What changed?
Are you sure that we have same compression setting as 184.108.40.206??
Any how from 220.127.116.11 we have parallel threads concept for restructure , by this you can do it really faster than 18.104.22.168..
