I see job listings quite often that look for Oracle and MSSQL experience paired. People with knowledge of both often deal with migrations from one to the other. Other companies have Oracle and MSSQL databases in place (and business reasons to keep them) and want professionals that can administer both.
Mind you , they want people with knowledge of both databases rather than people that have a couple of pieces of paper indicating that they passed a test for both databases. Getting certified is one way to start building a foundation of knowledge, but passing the test isn't the finish line.
What about Salary. What will earn me a big salary SAP & ORACLE expert or Oracle & MSSQL expert? I get your point of "Certification is not enough, I will need experience and full command on these".
