Interesting.. never analysed this before
FORMULA_RESULT_FLAG - Indicates if the RESULT_VALUE was produced as a result of a Fast Formula calculation
Possible values -
Not sure how it is populating the data.
Where do you need this ?
It gets populated via the pay run results process, I believe. Based on certain new elements created, I need to grab the result values from run results for these elements based on check date passed as parameter. In my instance the element entry values are differing from the run result values. The run result values table hosts both these differed values but one has a formula_result_flag as 'D' and other as NULL. If I hard-code the flag to 'D' in my custom procedure, my result set is correct. But I'm a little skeptical about hard-coding the value!
D - Run Result computed by the formula
N - Run Result created by an API call (pay_run_result_pkg, for example)
Null - Run Result created as an indirect result or input value directly entered by the user.
Not sure if 'Y' is a possible value, there are none in my current instance to investigate..
Basically from the run result values table.. Took a few entries for each type and worked out how it has been created by checking the input value, the element, the formula and the formula results config. 'D' and 'Null' are deductions based on the analysis. As for 'N', the value has been hardcoded into 'pay_run_result_pkg' which is the only package available to externally create run results and run result values.
