I would exercise the below steps
A)Make a Copy of the old application and rename it as Test 1
B)Remove the alternate hieararchy in the newly create application Test1
c)Run the same calculation script in both applications
D)Compare the index file size (ie .ind file) for both applications
E)Check the Average cluster ratio for both the applications
G)if the Average cluster is high then you can go ahead with Fragementation in the original application ,Since your are doing a script optimization
thx for your replay Sreekumar,
we tried the above options, but there is no use its still the same...
- the application for which we are running the calc script, will be loaded every hour, it will clear all the data and reload with new data in it so there is no question of Fragmentation
- I'm not concentrated only on script optimization, I want to bring the calc time at what ever the cost..
Might be worth posting the rest of the script, and the log entries from the execution. It's impossible to have any idea, for example, whether your parallel calc settings are appropriate.
After cache setting in essbase now the script is taking 10 min which was agreed by client
thx for your inputs
also try to use
