Did you forget the dot before the style-class name? In other words, is your selector really "button" or did you mean to use ".button"?
A copy n' paste error, It's .button.
As I said, the edirt seems to read the css just fine. To clarify : http://imgur.com/WccImmu
The preview seems to update to the correct view if I start cliking on it, the actual program stated by netbeans is still wrong

I just had to ask the 'is it plugged in' question.
I tried to do the same thing, i.e. :
- start SB 1.1 GA (on Win7)
- drop a Button
- attach the css above to the root AnchorPane
- modified the border radius in the css file
==> the radius is modified in the SB content view
- Preview>Show preview in window
==> the radius is the same, modified as expected
(note that the Preview is also modified if started before the css update)
Do you use the SB 1.1 GA ? Should be Version 1.1-b35 from Help>About
From Netbeans, check that the css file is at the right place, i.e. correspond to the path found in the fxml file.
I also tested your CSS with SB1.1 GA release and it worked fine - the editor and preview both show the changes. You may be aware, but you are drawing a square background under a thin 1 pixel border with rounded corners. If you want your button to look rounded, you should make the background corners rounded also.
I deleted the fxml file and tried again, now it works like a charm. I assume there was some old css left in the anchor pane properties.
Anyways, thank you for your support-
