I have a server, and the task is to migrate the web portal links.
But sorry to say, don't know how to do the task.
can anyone help me, to complete this task?
what is WebCenter Portal and Weblogic Portal?
how to know the links? how to start the web portal page?
I'm not sure what's the task you're trying to do, can you please give more details?
Regarding the Portals:
"Is a product built on top of JSF based Oracle Application Development Framework. It contains a set of components for building rich web applications, portals, and team collaboration/social sites."
"From a J2EE standpoint, WebLogic Portal is an enterprise application consisting of Enterprise Java Bean (EJB) components and a set of Web applications. The enterprise application contains the core application programming interfaces (API), and the Web applications contain servlets, Java Server Pages (JSPs), JSP tag libraries, and supporting Java classes."
I will personally recommend you to use WebCenter, to start using it you need to download JDeveloper, you can do it from here Oracle JDeveloper 188.8.131.52 Download, and install the WebCenter extension. We can give you more details on how to do this if this is what you need, but first please share more details of your requirement.
thanks Mauro.Flores, for your reply.
I will install but at this time, I have to migrate the portal links. Don't know what are these links, and what is its migration?
can you tell me how open portals admin panel / or any URL for me that I can see its user interface, as we have enterprise manager interface.
Maybe it's me not understanding your requirement, and I hope some else does if that's the case, but can you please confirm what are you using? Oracle WebCenter Potal, WebCenter Spaces, Oracle Portal?
When you refer to Enterprise Manager, are you talking about Enterprise Manager for WebLogic? if this is the case, you can look for the application deployed there:
Hope this helps you.
in EM there is no Farm wc_domain->WebLogic Domain -> wc_domain -> WC_CustomPortal
Couldn't try the following becuase don't know about the ports:
the following opened
WELCOME TO ORACLE FUSION MIDDLEWARE 11gR1
, but with out /webcenter it works
I have the following folder: D:\ORACLE\Middleware\Oracle_WC1\webcenter
My requirement is to look into web links, where can be these? and then migrate these.
With this path "D:\ORACLE\Middleware\Oracle_WC1\webcenter" we know that you have WebCenter, if you look under: "D:\ORACLE\Middleware\user_projects\domains\" you'll fin the domain and servers that are running
Can you go to your weblogic console( http://IP:7001/console) and look what servers are running and what ports?
If you want to read more about WebCenter Spaces you can look at this documentation: Oracle Fusion Middleware User's Guide for Oracle WebCenter Portal: Spaces 11g Release 1 (184.108.40.206.0) - Contents
For WebCenter Portal: Creating a WebCenter Portal Application - 11g Release 1 (220.127.116.11.0)
This will help you understand the services and the structure of WebCenter: Getting Started with WebCenter Portal Components - 11g Release 1 (18.104.22.168.0)
thank you sir,
1. under: "D:\ORACLE\Middleware\user_projects\domains\"
there are 3 folders. (1) ClassicDomain (2) FORM_RPT (3) WC_PORTAL
2. On weblogic console, under the ClassicDomain node the following servers are running
AdminServer (ii) WLS_FORMS (iii) WLS_REPORTS
there is no sever with name WC_PORTAL
dear Mauro Flores,
the following link login me to Oracle Application Server Portal
here I found export in Portal Navigator >> Builder >> Administer

Can I export and then import to the target server? this will migrate the portal links.

Another thing that can help you is posting this back again into the correct forum, you should be looking help for "Oracle AS Portal" or at least "Forms and Reports". I'm sorry I can't help you more than this, but this is a "WebCenter" forum. I worked with Oracle Portal but it has been a while.
