go to your icon containing folder in cmd then enter this command:jar -cvf myico.jar *.gif.
The command jar -cvf myico.jar *.gif packages all files with the extension .gif into an archive file with the name myico.jar. Now copy myico.jar into your java folder( inside you oracle forms home folder).
we have recently installed oracle 9ias server and we are using forms 6i interface, but the problem is all the buttons are not working and fonts are not getting displayed , do we need to set the icon path in registry,if so please guide.
Please provide sample for,
push button and its property
icon button and its property
fornts means which fonts are not displayed? where it is located?
what i am basically trying to do is to open the file location ,choose from that file location ,excel file and import in oracle.in this regards i have created a browse button using the following code but there is no response, in forms 6i i am able to open it.
FILENAME := GET_FILE_NAME(File_Filter=> 'EXCEL Files (*.XLS)|*.XLS|');
:UPLOAD_FILE_NAME := FILENAME;
GET_FILE_NAME will no longer be useful in Forms 9i and above as these versions are webbased and run on the application-server. But you want to open the file-dialog on the client. You have to use the WEBUTIL-library and the appropiate CLIENT_...-functions (in this case CLIENT_GET_FILE_NAME).
But i'm not sure where you can download a webutil-version matching forms 9i as it is very old.
