Hi all experts,

We are in 11gr2 in windows 2008. Our database is 2-nodes rac. My EM 12c showing that  one of the listener is down but i checked ehe status by crs and LSNRCTL command , it shows that the listener is up. Please let me know what is going on and how i could resolve the issue. I appreciate your help.

    Restart the agent and check.

If the restart agent did not work , than try to reload the agent .

    $emctl status agent

    $emctl start agent

    $emctl reload agent

    Thanks,

    HI,

can you please run this command :

    $emctl status agent

    $emctl start agent

    $emctl reload agent

    Otherwise

emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop   ----(EM drop )

emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create  ---- (EM create )

    For example:

emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop

    Hi,

Are you talking about local listener or SCAN-listener? At least Grid Control (EM) might sometimes give false alarms about SCAN-listeners because these listeners can be in any node of the cluster.

So if you are getting alerts about the SCAN-listener then check that the listener is running (and where it is running) with following command:

    srvctl status scan_listener

And it is also wise to test that that SCAN-IP is accepting connections. You can do this for example with telnet (this just open connection if it is working (says Connected to IP ...)):

    telnet <IP> 1521

If the connection is working and usually IP is in different node than where the error comes then you can safely ignore the alert (mark it as acknowledged in EM).

    Hi,

Check if the listener is started from DB_HOME, If yes, stop it and start it again from GRID_HOME, and do a EM agent bounce.
