Hi members, and thank you for your help.

After much mulling I have installed Oracle 12c (64b) on my Windows 7 64b SP.

Apparently everything is working fine, I can access both from the web (EM Express) an SQL Plus as SYS for example.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

he probelma is:

I downloaded and unzipped winx64_12c_examples and have installed correctly.

I have verified that you have added the files in the respective folders.

For example, in C: \ Oracle12c \ product \ 12.1.0 \ dbhome_1 \ demo \ schema \ human_resources I have the 10 files.

12/10/2002 19:27 1,173 hr_analz.sql
29/08/2002 14:29 2,825 hr_code.sql
29/08/2002 14:29 7,387 hr_comnt.sql
29/08/2002 14:29 9,718 hr_cre.sql
29/08/2002 14:29 16,439 hr_dn_c.sql
Hr_dn_d.sql 934 29/08/2002 14:29
29/08/2002 14:29 1,196 hr_drop.sql
29/08/2002 14:29 1,410 hr_idx.sql
27/05/2011 11:25 3,368 hr_main.sql
15/08/2008 18:12 46,647 hr_popul.sql
               10 files 91 097 bytes

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I come to install the samples as indicated in the link:

http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16655_01/server.121/e15979/installation.htm

So here I come, continued searching google and forums but can not find a solution to this problem.

Please appreciate any help with this, I need the sample database running.

Thank you very much in advance and good luck.

    Hi,

seems you are connected with CDB, can you try this after connect with PDB. by default in CDB users name should be prefix  with c#

Apart of the remark by DK2010, a password of 'passw' may be considered invalid by the default password checking function.

*All* of your errors are the result of the CREATE USER statement failing!

Sorry, I forgot to clarify that replaced the actual password for the word "passw" to put it in the forum.

The password that I use is something like Oracle79 ...

That meets the basic criteria of the system.

    ---------------------------

Following the track that gave me DK2010

I'm reading the documentation on CBD and PDB like and working with SQLPlus commands related, but still have not resolved the problem...

If someone can give me some clue but I appreciate it, as it resolved I'll post to the forum.

Thank you very much and greetings to all.

A bit late, but anyone else who runs into the problem - you might want to check the following:

I hope it's okay to do this, but after google brought me here for the same issue (trying to install the example schemas after having installed 12c, and Dude!'s fix worked for me.

As a side note for Solaris 11.1 users doing this fix, since Solaris can't sed -i (it's a GNU thing apparently), the hr_main.sql is edited so that:

    sys/&pass_sys -> sys/&pass_sys@pdborcl

    hr/&pass -> hr/&pass@pdborcl

I'd note that in the linked thread, but that has been locked. But I followed the directions in that thread and the thing ran without a problem.

Thanks again Dude! for the fix, and for being kind enough to answer via email.
