1. Select the section and click on update button
2 Click on Categories (in the left ) of the Update section page.
3. Click on Assign Categories button that appears on Update Section: Categories
Please note that Category assignment is used during product auto-placement only for leaf sections.
Please refer to the section Using Product Autoplacement in the page
Thanks for your reply.
But after applying category to leaf section all items will seen directly in site of that category?
Also how to add search by category in istore?
After you have created the desired mappings between your leaf sections and Oracle Inventory categories, you must run the iStore Product Autoplacement Concurrent Program to populate the sections with products. You also can instruct the concurrent program to run in Replace mode, and it will update existing products as well as remove products which no longer match the category-section mappings.
Please refer to the link I provided in the previous link. It has all the details in it...
Yap. Thanks for support.
If we have two OUs and one item master then do we need to create two different stores specific to OUs???
OR, we can create one store with two sections. Where in one section items of one OU resides and same for other?
Please let us know.
I dont think you can restrict Sections by OU. To my knowledge only Site can be restricted by OU
So we will create one store for OU items and another for OU2 and common items in both?
Up to your business need. and also you can have more than OU for a single site. which means that create a site and assign both the org to the site.
But in site org access is actually customer access not inventory org access. So how to differnetiate sections by OUs?
