Mind posting the contents of the document sigmodRecord.xml? That will help me figure out what is going wrong.
Thank you Laurent for your quick reply. Sorry the file is big and i dont know how
send it. But the sigmodRecord.xml can be downloaded from the ff web site.
Kindly goto http://www.cs.washington.edu/research/xmldatasets/ and then
click SIGMOD Record and download the sigmodRecord.xml and its dtd.
I like to inform you that while adding the xml file to the container i
set setAllowValidation = false because i notice the dtd is not wellformed.
I remember that XML document from my graduate thesis days. Good memories.
As for your problem, the issue is with your query "collection('Exampledata.dbxml')/article". That query is looking for documents in the container Exampledata.dbxml that have a root element named "article". However, the root element of sigmodRecord.xml is named "SigmodRecord", so the query returns nothing. If you want to find all elements in the container named "article", then you want to use the query "collection('Exampledata.dbxml')//article". Notice the two "//", instead of one "/".
Thank you Laurent. It really work
