Help us to help you. When asking questions about layout and visual formatting, always include the following information:
- Templates used (in this case, at least the default page template for the application)
- Browser(s)/version(s) used
- Any other relevant information, like logo image location and size
An example on apex.oracle.com is usually the best way to get help with layout questions.
I am sorry for not providing the necessary information.
- Theme used is : Traditional Blue.
- Templates used are the default page templates provided for the theme I've chosen.
- Browser/version : Mozilla Firefox/ V 21.0
- Logo Image : Its a JPEG file , its Dimensions are 78*118 and its file size is 3.47 kb
- Location and Position:
Text:to be displayed in white with a big and bold font in the top center of my page
Logo: to be displayed on the top-left-corner
Thanks and regards,
to add a text on top of all regions on all pages, you can create an application item and assign the necessary text to it on your application's login page itself. you can then reference this application item using &<APPLICATION_ITEM_NAME_WITHOUT_ANGLE_BRACKETS>. in the page templates. Since you want to put the message before all regions, you will have to put &<APPLICATION_ITEM_NAME_WITHOUT_ANGLE_BRACKETS>. Header text area of your page template right at the beginning of the
tag
let me know if this answers your query in the current thread
Is there a way to have both my logo and text in the user interface settings itself ?
Thanks and regards,
Select Logo Type Text, and try this in the Logo property (change the
srcURL to reference your logo image and "Text" to whatever text you need:
Text
Can't test it in Firefox at present, but it works in Chrome.
However, note that an image of that size (assuming 78*118 is width × height) causes the page header in theme 20 to exceed the size of it's background image, which then gets tiled in a messy way. You might also hit problems if your application uses region positions 6, 7 and 8. This is why an example on apex.oracle.com exactly reproducing your set-up is recommended in these cases.
