Typically, you can define Regions in AK Developer responsibility.
Region consists of database view/table and properties of displayable fields..and their properties like datatype, editable, etc.
(its very similar to property pallete in Oracle Forms..but it is made as part of database repository)
On JSP page, you give references to the AK Region.
So now you have extremely configurable UI ...if you want to add field...you can just go to AK Region and add it .
However...very few iStore JSP pages are developed exploiting AK Developer.
The iStore Order Tracker utilizes the AK regions and attributes. Refer to discussion in:
How can the iStore Order Tracker include additional fields? (Doc ID 334385.1)
iStore utilizes the template manager for jsp customizations.
iStore comes packaged with a complete set of JSP templates needed to run
the site. If you want to expand the functionality of the site web pages or customize
the pre-packaged templates, then you need to identify the flow of the application (Chapter 38)
and the JSP templates needed to implement the flow.
