Thanks for the response but like i said i tried it with the java_opts variable and i got the error again.
Yes - three times now you say 'I tried' and 'I got the error'.
We can't see your screen.
SHOW us exactly what you 'tried' and exactly what 'error' you got.
Post the exact commands for all three things you say you tried.
I think to set things clear i have to add a few details.
I dont get the error when setting the java heap size.
I can set the java heap size with the command java -Xmx6144M or with the system variable: set JAVA_OPTS=-Xms1024M -Xmx6144M even when adding it in the startup.bat.
I get the error when running the programm.
It does go through a few steps but at step 4 of 10 e.g. we get the error: javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: Java heap space
We have 8GB Ram.
> I get the error when running the programm.
My guess is that you don't understand how you are running the program. Given that you are using SOAP I would guess that you are using JEE container. And consequently you must learn how to manage the CONTAINER, not java. The container is an application. It has an idiom for starting it and it has a way of changing how much heap is allocated. Looking at java will not help you figure that out (although if you just hack the starting application code it might help there.)
