That error message should be accompanied by another, more precise error message.
If you'd like help, post a complete test script that people can run to re-create the error and test their ideas. Simplify the problem as much as possible, while still getting the same error.

No easy answer. And there's plenty more where that came from. Such as "not implemented yet", one that I often encounter. And my alltime fave, "numeric or other value error".
For "sql statement ignored", I would highly suspect a statement that looks like sql :-) If there are multiple perps you can try various strategies such as the commentarian method:
You pick the first sql statement and comment out the rest and rerun it and see what happens. Hopefully you can figure out which one is wrong. Another method is the exceptional method where
you put exception blocks around each suspect operation.
