    HOW CAN I CONNECT MY DB TO NETWORK

      I HAVE 2 PC'S CONNECTED TOGETHER WITHOUT HUB
      AND I HAVE MY DATABASE IN ONE PC HOW CAN I CONNECT TO THIS DATABASE FROM THE OTHER PC
      NOTE : I USE DATABASE (ORACLE 8I AND DEVELOPER 6I)

          Is this a client server installation? If so then you need to create a entry in tnsnames.ora file on client side and then connect to it. If you have installed personal oracle then you cannot access it from any other PC. You have to use the same PC where you have installed it, to access the database.
