Recently i have upload some huge coredump files to https://supportfiles.sun.com/upload.
Problem is the dump files are larger as 20gb, it takes me 2 days or more to get finish uploaded.
It trouble me because customer cant wait for too long for sending for Oracle Analysis.
Maybe you guys have a same experience as me and would mind to shared here how to make upload faster?
Is there a way also to resume the upload progress due to sometime i have to travel from one place to another?
My upload speed so far only able to reach max 1.5Mbps and are vary between morning and night..
Is there a way to compress the vmdump smaller for upload? I had tried tar cvf and gzip and it wouldn't make much different
20 GB is a big amount of data, and transferring data through http protocol is not the faster way.
Alternatives exist. Please read MOS doc ID 1547088.1 for more details.
FYI, supportfiles will be decommissioned in April 2014.
And finally, if performances are still unacceptable, you can still try to copy the data in a media and send it
