Kindly refer to this post i posted in Jun: https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2550071
I would like to know is there any write paper or official announcement from Oracle on the following statement?
"Our current guideline for Solaris 10 1/13 releases, is keeping pool capacity at 90%." (by Cindy)
Kindly note that I also post a similar post on Oracle Storage forums. https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2611767
However, I do not think I am doing a duplicate post as one is from Oracle Solaris OS aspect on the reference on this statement and other is which firmware or patch level to have this ability to make the storage pool usage to hit 90%.
I'm confused by your question as it relates to the ZFS storage appliance. The appliance runs a version of Solaris 11, not Solaris 10,
but maybe you are providing devices from an appliance to a server that is running Solaris 10 1/13. Can you clarify?
I don't have a Solaris 10 1/13 doc pointer that describes you can keep pool capacity at 90% for best performance, but this bug identifies
this doc issue:
Bug 16978258 ZFSADMIN and SOLTUNEPARAMREF do not reflect 90% for pool capacity recommendation
