I have a APEX application that a dashboard that drills down to reports using column links.
normally i use a url of eg
and it works by jumping to the page 2203 from the dashboard within the same window
i would like to have it open a popup instead.
However, if i have more parameters, lke
this did not work and i get the following error message
Error 500--Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request
Any one has any idea why that the longer version with more parameter passing is not working?
All the parameter names/values are controlled and do not contain any commas or special characters.
Basically there are many parameters because the dashboard has been built with filters to enable different user groups to filter and change the SQL dynamically according to their viewing needs. These same filters are active in the co-responding drill down reports.
So the column link needs to pass all the filter selection used at the dashboard over to the reports.
What i did not understand is that both approaches work but for the popup, the longer string gives you the error.
Wondering if there is some form of a limit that is built-in for the URL structure in the column links?
Combining to one parameter, delimiting your own string then deconstructing afterwards should work but will avoid that as i am the only person working on the application and will try to make it as easy to maintain as possible.
Thanks for the advise, will post back if i managed to get it working.
