We have installed OEDQ with AV + we have installed Knowledge Repository from Loqate for GB. Our plan is to use it with Siebel UCM, but that is not topic of this post. After downloading and installation of Loqate KR, I did launch WS tester and try to launch Address Clean WS. My input parameters are (I followed CDS Business Guidelines):
It looks to me like EDQ AV is not installed correctly and that the service is therefore simply upper casing the input address. Did you get an accuracy code of -1?
Check main0.log for the error loading the 'OAV' widget and check the Address Verification installation guide (Troubleshooting section).
Thanks for answer. We do not get any reply in accuracy code as a result of calling WS. I do see where are you heading to with your question: in Job: Address - Clean there is a step : "Check whether AV is installed" and if not , it returns back -1. But this is not happening in our case, so i presume that AV is installed ok.
Am wondering if we need to run again Job Main initialize reference data. Am looking into the Job : Clean - Address and in step "Determine minimum required verification settings (priority is (1) from interface (2) defaults for country (3) externalized defaults)" , in box "Lookup country specific verification level, etc" where in Options there is attribute: Lookup Reference Data -> Address Clean - Country Verification Level and Results.
We did restart couple of minutes ago Web logic and OEDQ. In Main(0).log we do have only one line where OAV is mentioned:
WARNING: 12-Dec-2013 12:34:28: widget bean com.datanomic.director.widget.loqatordeprecated.server.LoqatorBean reported as dead: OAV data directory "/ikea/oedq/data" not found or invalid (Code: 247,002)
This is strange, because when we look in /ikea/oedq/data we can see lfs and _manifest.properties files. also our av.properties is having right paths:
# Properties file for Address Verification (AV)
# Paths shown here are indicative of the defaults for a Windows installation, and must be changed
# for other platforms.
# The directory containing the AV data files
loqate.datadir = /ikea/oedq/data
# The location of the AV Java API (loqate.jar)
loqate.jar = /ikea/oedq/loqate.jar
# The directory containing the shared library files for the current platform
# Not needed if this directory is part of the system path
loqate.libdir = /ikea/oedq/
Can you please shar your thoughts on this?
It looks like the data is not installed correctly. Is there a loqate.ini file in the data directory? How was the data installed?
It is not very clear what is being passed back as the accuracy code - are you saying it is blank?
Test the service with an incomplete address (say, house number, town, postcode) to see if it completes.
It also might be a good idea to put together a simple batch process that uses Address verification on some sample data to test that it is installed correctly.
We are on Redhat Linux. Do we need loqate.ini in such case? According to the AV Installation guide and Troubleshooting section in it and Doc ID 1489605.1 there seems to be missing loqate.ini file. Indeed we do not have it, but since we are not on Windows, we assume we do not need it. Or are we wrong? Might this be a cause of problem?
I did test your based on your suggestion and left City blank...I do get back exactly what i send, it means it didnt complete.
